The reduction in seating capacity creates an opportunity to fully redesign the upper bowl of the arena. The upper perimeter would be fully enclosed in glass forming a unique public space that will be used to house a Canadian Museum of Amateur Hockey, interactive hockey exhibits, and multifunctional event space for public use.
